Casa Concierge service agreement

1. Who we are and who we work for

Casa (findyourcasa.nl), findyourcasa.nl. With Casa Concierge you ask us to search for a place to live on your behalf. We work for you, the student (or your parent or guardian). We never act for a landlord or agency, and we never take money from them.

2. What we do

• We search for places that fit your city, budget, move-in date and needs, on listing sites and through landlords and agencies we're in touch with, including places that never make it online.
• We contact landlords and agencies for you and propose you as a candidate.
• We view places for you, in person or on live video.
• We check the rental contract with you before you sign, and point out anything unusual.
• After you've moved in, we help you register at the gemeente.
• We keep you (and, if you like, your parents) updated by WhatsApp or email.

3. What we don't do

• We don't own or rent out places. The rental contract is between you and the landlord.
• We can't guarantee that a landlord picks you, or that a place stays available.
• We don't give legal advice. For a dispute with a landlord, the Huurcommissie or a lawyer can help.
• We never ask you to pay rent or a deposit to us. You pay those to the landlord, and only after you or we have seen the place.

4. Price

The price for your search is in your personal offer, which you receive and accept in writing before we start.

The price is agreed with you in writing before we start. There are no other costs from Casa.

5. If we don't find a place

What happens if we don't find a place within the agreed search period is in your personal offer, before we start.

6. Partners

If you came to us through a partner (for example a study advisor or education agency), that partner may receive a referral fee from Casa. It comes out of our fee and is never added on top of what you pay.

7. Cancelling

You have the right to withdraw within 14 days of agreeing, without giving a reason. If you ask us to start straight away and then withdraw, you pay a fair part of the price for the work already done. Once we have fully done the job (you have signed a rental contract for a place we found), the right to withdraw ends. To cancel, send us a WhatsApp or email.

8. Your details

We only share your details with landlords and agencies when we propose you for a place, and only what they need to decide. See our privacy policy.

9. Liability

We do our best, but we can't be liable for a landlord's decisions, the state of a place after you move in, or money you paid to someone else. Where we are liable, it is limited to what you paid us. Nothing here limits your rights under Dutch consumer law.

10. Law

Dutch law applies.
