Scam signalsDeposit is more than 2 months' rent (not allowed in NL). Nothing suspicious in the listing text or price. Scam guide.

What you should know

Minimum age. There's a minimum age. Check it against yours.
Deposit over 2 months. Dutch law caps the deposit at 2 months' rent (since July 2023). This one is higher. You can refuse the excess.
Deposit mentioned. A deposit of one to two months' rent is normal in NL. More than two months is not, and you're entitled to get it back within 14 days of moving out if the room is left in good condition.

The listing

This description can be auto-translated from Dutch, so read it carefully before you apply. The details (deposit, bills, the exact rules) sometimes get lost in translation.

Twee huisgenootjes gezocht!
