Five things worth knowing tonight.
- Your deposit has to come back, minus real, proven damage, not normal wear and tear.
- Get everything in writing. WhatsApp messages count, so keep them.
- Photograph every room the day you move in and the day you leave.
- You usually can't be kicked out without proper notice and a real reason.
- If your rent is above the legal points based limit, it can be lowered, sometimes backdated.
